London Plane Crash : Southend Airport

A small plane crashed today. It was a Beech B200 Super King Air. The crash happened near London Southend Airport. This was on Sunday, July 13, 2025. It happened around 4:00 PM.

What Happened

The plane took off from London Southend Airport. It was going to Lelystad in the Netherlands. Soon after takeoff, it crashed. There was a “massive fireball”. A lot of black smoke appeared. People could see it from far away.

Who Was Hurt?

Don’t know yet if anyone was hurt or died. We also don’t know how many people were on the plane. This type of plane can carry up to 12 passengers.

Emergency Response

Police and ambulance teams are at the crash site. This includes the Essex Police and East of England Ambulance Service. The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance is also there.

What Else Happened

Places nearby were emptied as a safety step. This includes a golf club and a rugby club.

What’s Next?

We don’t know why the plane crashed yet. People are asked to stay away from the area. This helps the emergency teams do their work. A local MP, David Burton-Sampson, also asked people to stay away.
