MLA Sanjay Gaikwad Caught on Camera Punching Canteen Worker Over Bad Food
A shocking video has gone viral showing Sanjay Gaikwad, a politician from the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), punching a canteen worker. The incident happened at the MLA canteen in Mumbai, and Gaikwad was angry about the quality of the food.
It all went down on Tuesday night (July 8th). Gaikwad had ordered a meal and said the lentil soup (dal) was “stinking” and “rotten.” He even claimed he felt sick and threw up after trying it.
The video clearly shows Gaikwad confronting the canteen operator. He makes the man smell the dal, then repeatedly slaps and punches him, causing the worker to fall.
Later, when asked about what he did, Gaikwad showed no regret. He said it was the “Shiv Sena way” of doing things and claimed he had complained about the food many times before. He also added that he’s not someone who follows Gandhi’s peaceful ways and would do it again if people don’t listen to reason.
This isn’t the first time a politician from this group has been involved in such an incident. Back in August 2022, another Shiv Sena MLA, Santosh Bangar, was also seen slapping a catering manager over bad food for a school lunch program.
The recent event with Sanjay Gaikwad has caused a lot of debate. Opposition parties are criticizing his actions, with some even calling for his immediate arrest. Gaikwad has said he plans to bring up the issue of food quality in the current meeting of the Maharashtra government.
